GARP FRM®

frf (financial risk fitness) organizes and conducts training courses for the GARP FRM® exams in Munich and Vienna.

The courses target mainly (but are not limited to) candidates who reside and work in Southern Germany, Austria and Central Europe. The training courses are being organized to follow the full exam curriculum as required by GARP:

Level I

  • Foundations of Risk Management
  • Quantitative Analysis
  • Financial Markets and Products
  • Risk Modeling

Level II

  • Market Risk Measurement and Management
  • Credit Risk Measurement and Management
  • Operational and Integrated Risk Measurement and Management
  • Risk Management for Investment Companies
  • Current Issues in Financial Markets

The prerequisite for all participants is to have gained familiarity with the theoretical concepts in all areas by having read the required review
material in the GARP package:

  • The “Financial Risk Management Handbook”
    Fifth Edition by P. Jorion
  • The GARP supplemental (mandatory) reading material as it appears
    in the “GARP electronic library”

frf acknowledges that most candidates are full time employed and have to balance the demands of their full time jobs along with those of their private lives. Nevertheless, the standards for passing the FRM® examinations are quite highly set, which imposes a significant level of discipline and preparatory work on all candidates, even the most seasoned in financial risk management. To accommodate for the above, frf has decided to conduct evening and weekend courses (also click on the “Courses and Prices“ page).

Level I

12 Evening Sessions (Mo. - Sa.)
16.00 - 20.00 / late

Level II

12 Evening Sessions (Mo. - Sa.)
16.00 - 20.00 / late

Power Weekend

One Saturday prior to the exam date, simulating the test environment with a mock-up test followed by a Sunday where the Exams are being discussed.

All training sessions will encompass a 1 - 1.5 hour section of theoretical concepts discussion, where the more challenging concepts will be addressed and a 3 - 4 hours part of practice review problems.
